Lawson Spotted Having Bloomin’ Onion, Must Be Going Pro!

For pure entertainment value, trolling the eBays for coaching seacrh scuttlebutt and whether or not a player will go pro will provide some decent laughs. InsideCarolina.com was bombarded with fake posts titled “A guy I know says all 3 going pro!”, “CONFIRMED!” and my personal favorite “Geraldo Rivera just called…” Well, it was my favorite until I got forwarded this blog entry from The Offensive Board. According to Brandon Staton, a senior at North Carolina studying Journalism and former Daily Tar Heel sports editor, Wayne Ellington and Ty Lawson are going pro. His reliable sources told him Ellington has already met with agents, and that Lawson was spotted at an Outback restaurant discussing draft position over Jackeroo Chops. Staton also claims that the number 21 kept coming up in the conversation, meaning his possible draft position. Are you sure, maybe Ty Lawson just saw the new flick “21″ and gushed over Kate Bosworth.

All kidding aside, this kid is probably right. We’ll just have to wait for something official from the school. Either that, or we start camping out at Chili’s waiting for another round of talks…this time with ribs.
