Ty Lawson led Oak Hill Academy to a 42-1 record as a senior (won their first 42 games).Ty Lawson was first-team USA Today All-America selection. Ty Lawson averaged 23.8 points, 9.1 assists and five steals in 2006 Ty Lawson shot 63 percent from the floor, including 42 percent from three-point range. Ty Lawson had a season-high 37 points, one of nine games in which he scored 30 or more and a season-high 18 assists and had double-digit assists 18 times. Ty Lawson played for coach Steve Smith. December: Handed out seven assists against Kentucky • Had 11 points, eight assists and four steals and helped UNC shoot 66.1 percent from the floor against Florida Atlantic • Had 12 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in win at Saint Louis • Had nine assists and zero turnovers against Rutgers • Played only 19 minutes against Dayton after suffering a fall on a drive to the basket on which he bruised his right wrist.

A super quick point guard that shows the ability to change speeds and penetrate into the lane, enabling him to finish around the basket. A quick defender that gets into the passing lanes, generating steals and easy fast break points. Is an undersized point guard with his height being closer to 5’11, needs to improve his mid range jump shot with consistency to make his penetrating skills effective at the next level.
